The Free-flow Technology

The first part of the name "free-flow technology" already identifies its essential construction feature. Inside a free-flow submersible pump, a “free”, uninterrupted pump flow is created inside the pump housing, free from obstruction by the impeller.

How It Works

The impeller is mounted above the intake opening. Instead of lying flush on the pump floor, the impeller rotates up to 10 cm (3.94 inches) away from the pump floor. Once the incoming water contacts the impeller, a vortex is generated. The resulting centrifugal forces both create the necessary vacuum to produce the pump flow and push abrasive materials like sediment, sand, or stones towards the edge of the pump housing after entering the pump chamber. This allows for the unobstructed passage of solids up to 7.4 cm (2.91 inches).

The Grinding Function

Most solids flow out with the pump stream. If solids are too large for the outlet, they are ground between the impeller and the pump floor until they are small enough to be carried away by the pump stream.

Longer Operating Times

The water passing through the impeller is largely free of abrasive materials. This results in significantly longer operational lifespans for the impeller of a free-flow pump compared to conventional submersible pumps.

Utilizing Pump System Self-Dynamics Reduces Energy Costs

A pump system can develop self-dynamics under certain conditions. This occurs when the end of the piping is below the output water level. In such cases, the pump flow can continue without using the pump itself. This principle is widely known from siphoning fuel from a car’s tank. Once the hose is primed, fuel flows without further action until the tank is empty. (Wikipedia) Similarly, in free-flow pumps, the pump flow continues even if the pump is turned off because the flow is not obstructed by the impeller.

Solids too large for the pump outlet are ground up inside the pump housing by the impeller until they are small enough to pass through the outlet.

Mixing Function

If solids have settled in the pumped medium, or if coarse solids make pumping difficult, our submersible pumps can also act as "mixers".

To do this, the pump is placed in the medium without a hose. The medium circulates until the desired consistency is achieved.

Coarse solids are shredded by the impeller, creating a homogeneous liquid mixture that can then be pumped.

Difference between Mono and Dual Submersible Pumps

Our patent-pending1) Dual Submersible Pumps (with two connections) offer unprecedented flexibility compared to Mono Submersible Pumps (with one connection). The Dual Submersible Pumps can replicate all performance curves of 2", 3", 4", and 5" Mono Submersible Pumps. The second hose connection on the Dual Submersible Pump allows for doubling the pumping capacity. Additionally, up to 14 combinations of different hose diameters (2", 3", 4", or 5") are possible. The result is an impressive capacity of up to 126 liters per second (l/s) at a weight of only 29 kg (63.9 lbs).

Only in confined spaces would you need to rely on 2" or 3" Mono Submersible Pumps. Otherwise, the Dual Submersible Pump is always the optimal choice. It can also be used as a Mono Submersible Pump and covers a range equivalent to up to eight Mono Submersible Pumps.

Oil Flow Optimization

Our submersible pumps can be set to the maximum possible performance. All our submersible pump systems come with an oil pressure gauge. Using this gauge, you can precisely adjust the pump performance to the maximum possible by simply adjusting the oil flow.

Yes. You can continue using all your hoses. Since the submersible pumps' performance can be adjusted gradually, it is possible to use a 2-inch hose with a 5-inch submersible pump. In short, our submersible pumps can be adapted to your existing hoses.

5-inch Dual Submersible Pumps, combined with petrol or electric units with adjustable oil flow, are ideal. You can connect hoses starting from 2 inches, including A, B, C, and F (5") hoses. In dual operation, up to 112 l/s – 6,666 liters per minute or 400 m³/hour – is possible, making them the first choice when high pump volume is needed. Under practical conditions, up to 88 l/s can be achieved with A hoses (4").

If solids have settled in the pump medium or the presence of coarse solids makes pumping difficult, our submersible pumps can also be used as "mixers."

To use the pump as a mixer, simply submerge it in the pump medium without attaching a hose.

The medium circulates through the pump until the desired consistency is achieved. Coarse solids are broken down by the impeller, resulting in a homogenous liquid mixture, which can then be pumped away.

Up to 80° Celsius (176° Fahrenheit)

Pumping media with temperatures up to 80° Celsius (176° Fahrenheit) can be pumped without any issues.

Due to their design, hydraulically operated submersible pumps are lubricated and cooled by hydraulic oil.

They do not rely on the pumped medium for cooling.

Therefore, our hydraulic submersible pumps can handle pumping media up to 80° Celsius (176° Fahrenheit) without sustaining any damage.

Slurping Operation in Whisper Mode

Our hydraulic submersible pumps allow for slurping operation in whisper mode. The pumped medium flows directly through the pump outlet.

In conventional submersible pumps, the medium first passes through the motor's cooling system.

The pressure fluctuations in the pump flow, which occur during slurping operation, cause vibrations.

These vibrations are transferred to the cooling system, which acts as a resonating body and generates a significantly noticeable noise level.

This noise effect is completely eliminated with hydraulic submersible pumps, as they do not have a cooling system.

100% Dry Running Capability

Due to their design, our hydraulic submersible pumps do not rely on a pumped medium for motor cooling.

Cooling and lubrication are provided by the hydraulic oil. This allows our pumps to "dry run" 24 hours a day, 7 days a week without sustaining any damage.

4 Hydraulic Submersible Pump Heads

- the cost-efficient submersible pump solution -

All four submersible pumps are hydraulically operated. The flow rate can be continuously adjusted by controlling the oil volume. The oil supply can be provided by either a vehicle hydraulic system or a hydraulic power unit.

Up to 50 liters per minute (13 USGPM) of oil flow at up to 250 bar pressure (3,625 psi) can be used to operate the submersible pumps.

Stay flexible. Depending on the requirement, you can alternately operate the pump head with electric, gasoline, or diesel motors.

The dual submersible pump head is the all-rounder solution.

The dual submersible pump head combines the advantages of 2", 3", 4", and 5" submersible pumps. With the appropriate adapters, up to two hoses can be connected simultaneously. This results in an unprecedented pump output. In dual mode, two 2-inch, or two 3-inch, or three 4-inch, or two 5-inch hoses can be used.
